What reeds should i get for clarinet?

I’m starting clarinet && all i need is the reeds. I’m not sure what type to get. I’ve played alto saxophone for six years && i use Rico Reeds – #3. What do i get for clarinet?

You are definitely going to want to use #3 reeds if you are going to play in the higher register. Rico’s are good reeds, but my clarinet teacher makes me use VanDoren Reeds because they use better quality cane. It should be an easy transition from sax. Good Luck!
