How do I know what gauge string my guitar is set for?

its a stratocaster?
i dont want to adjust the truss rod so what string should i get?

Either a 9 or 10 gauge, probably a 10 gauge unless you are doing more lead work then you want 9.

Or if you are detuning then you might want 11 gauge.
