What is the sound effects used in every radio show?
I am looking to start a podcast and want to know what the sound effects are called that seem to used in every show. It sounds like a DJ mix or something, it’s like a filler between segments or songs. I just need to know what you call them
They’re called sweepers, generally a sound effect such as a scratch / laser phase or fast rewind between pieces of music, sometimes they’ll be a bit longer maybe 20 seconds mixed with clips of chart tracks and also mention the station name, this is called a sampler and station ident.
