Tremolo Spring
what gauge strings are best to use on a strat with all 5 tremolo springs in the back to play metal?
My Strat has all 5 tremolo springs underneath the back plate and I play mostly metal, what gauge, and brand would be best to use on the guitar?
Whatever feels the best to you really.
Would have helped if you mentioned what tuning you play in.
Generally, the lower the tuning, the heavier the strings you want to use. I like Ernie Balls and D’Addario.For standard tuning go with 9s or 10s(the gauge of the thinnest string in the set if you don’t already know)
And, if you play metal, I suggest you get something with humbuckers, as most Strats have single coils.
